Cold rolled steel coils are steel coils that have been rolled at room temperature below their recrystallization temperature. This allows for the steel to be more ductile and flexible. Cold rolled steel coils have a much thinner thickness and are much more precise in their dimensions compared to hot rolled steel coils. Cold rolled steel coils have a superior surface finish, tighter tolerances, higher strength, and better overall formability than hot rolled steel coils.
